Introduction

  • Hi Everyone! My name is Joelle Zimprich. I am currently enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Lake Area Technical Institute. This is my second time around at LATI. My first career choice was Medical Assisting. I chose this career to start my profession in the health field and make a difference in peoples lives. I have been working as a Certified Medical Assistant now for 6 years. My love for being around people and helping them has grown greatly. With all the knowledge and experience that I have gained, made me decide to go back for nursing. I always like to learn new things and work hard in everything I do. I hope to become a Registered Nurse in 2011. I hope to be in Sioux Falls, working at Avera McKennan in the NICU when I graduate. I am very passionate about what I want to do. I will be responsible for the health and well being of every patient that I work with. I am very excited to start my career as a Registered Nurse and can't wait to take on the many challenges that it has to offer.

  • Hello! My name is Jennifer Noem. I am also currently enrolled in the Practical Nursing program at Lake Area Technical Institute. I decided on nursing as a career after successfully completing an EMT course and joining De Smet Rescue. I enjoyed learning about the body, how it works, and what we can do to save it. My goal is to be a registered nurse by May of 2011 and finding a job where I can be exposed to a wide variety of experiences and make a difference in the life of many people. As a registered nurse I will be responsible for knowing the patient, the diagnosis, and ensuring that the patient receives the best care possible. I am excited for the future and can't wait to get started!
